MC Space app home screen with machine categories and capabilities

The summary.

Idle machines and the people who need them rarely find each other in time. MC Space turns that into a marketplace: owners rent out capacity by the hour, fabricators find the nearest machine and deal with the owner directly, and a web admin keeps the whole thing running. One product, both app stores, one admin.

I’ve worked with multiple software teams, but I’ve never felt as comfortable as I did with Zapulse. They made me feel like their team was my own. It was easy to share opinions and suggestions, and they acted on them effectively. Their planning and timing were excellent throughout.

About MC Space

MC Space is a machine-rental marketplace connecting machine owners with fabricators who need short-term access. Built in Flutter for iOS and Android with a Next.js web admin on AWS, it lets owners list idle machines and renters find the nearest available one and connect directly.

The challenge.

Matching them by phone and word of mouth is slow, and there’s no trusted place to see what’s available close by, agree a rate, and connect.

MC Space had to put nearby machines on a map, let owners list and manage their own, and connect the two sides directly, across both phone platforms, with an admin behind it to keep the marketplace clean.

A fabricator who needs a machine for a few hours has no easy way to find one nearby, and an owner whose machine sits idle has no easy way to rent it out. The demand and the supply exist in the same city and never meet.

The solution.

We built a cross-platform marketplace in Flutter for iOS and Android, backed by a Next.js web admin and hosted on AWS. Owners list machines and set availability; renters find the closest match on a map and connect with the owner directly.

How we
built it.

The same four phases behind every build we ship: scoped in writing, delivered in milestones, and maintained by the team that built it.

  1. 1.Talk through the problem

    Discovery
    • Your business, not a feature list
    • Who actually uses it day to day
    • Timeline and budget, up front
  2. 2.Scope, estimate and plan

    Written scope
    • What gets built, and in what order
    • Which stack it runs on, and the cost
    • Nothing starts until you approve it
  3. 3.Build and ship in milestones

    Milestones
    • Working software at every milestone
    • No single reveal at the end
    • Feedback folded in as it goes
  4. 4.Live, and kept that way

    On AWS
    • Deployed and running on AWS
    • We stay on after go-live
    • Maintained by the team that built it
